QuantumCTek unveils first commercial domestic cryogenic NMR probe
QuantumCTek has launched China's first commercial cryogenic NMR probe and a high-field solid-state NMR spectrometer, aiming to reduce reliance on foreign lab equipment.
QuantumCTek introduced its CryoHe-series cryogenic NMR probes and the CAN-S high-field solid-state NMR spectrometer at the second Analytical Science and Instrument Conference in Wuhan. These instruments provide a domestic alternative in a sector historically dominated by a limited number of international manufacturers.
As the NMR probe is the primary component determining a spectrometer's sensitivity, the CryoHe series employs technology that stabilizes RF coils at approximately 20 Kelvin (-253 degrees Celsius). This cooling process increases detection sensitivity by more than three times compared to standard room-temperature probes, addressing a critical bottleneck in liquid-state NMR analysis.
The release of these products fills a gap in the domestic market for high-sensitivity detection and solid-state material characterization. QuantumCTek has confirmed that both product lines have entered the mass production phase and are currently available for delivery.
The development is significant for the broader scientific community, as access to high-performance NMR equipment is essential for molecular structural analysis, protein research, and pharmaceutical development.
