QuikStor and Charity Storage Host F1 Car Fundraiser in Austin
QuikStor and Charity Storage are partnering for the "Race for a Cause" fundraiser in Austin, allowing attendees to drive laps in an F1 simulator to benefit Shriners Children's Texas.
QuikStor, a provider of facility management software, and Charity Storage, a fundraising organization for the self-storage industry, are co-hosting "Race for a Cause" at the TSSA Big Ideas in Storage conference in Austin, Texas, from November 4-6.
The event aims to raise funds for Shriners Children's Texas. Attendees can participate by driving laps in a full-size F1 car simulator for a $25 donation. All proceeds from the simulator activity will directly benefit the hospital, which provides care for children regardless of their family's ability to pay.
The fundraising initiative draws inspiration from QuikStor's recently launched management platform, described metaphorically as sleek and fast. The choice of Austin, a city known for hosting the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, aligns with the event's theme.
Scott Worden, QuikStor's VP of Growth, stated that the event brings the industry together for fun and to support children in need. Mario Maculuso, Program Director of Charity Storage, highlighted the self-storage sector's tradition of charitable giving and how this event provides a meaningful way to support Shriners Children's Texas.
