Quotient Sciences, a global CRDMO, and Acesion Pharma, a Danish biotech firm focused on cardiac arrhythmia treatments, have announced a collaboration to enhance drug formulation development using artificial intelligence. The partnership will leverage Quotient Sciences' AI-enhanced formulation solution integrated within its Translational Pharmaceutics® platform.

The initiative supports Acesion Pharma's early-stage pipeline targeting atrial fibrillation, the most common sustained cardiac arrhythmia globally. The collaboration utilizes Quotient Sciences' machine learning and Bayesian optimization capabilities to identify and prioritize drug formulations with a higher probability of clinical success, enabling faster, more informed decision-making for Acesion Pharma.

Atrial fibrillation affects millions worldwide and significantly increases the risk of stroke. Acesion Pharma is developing small-molecule treatments aimed at addressing this condition. This collaboration seeks to streamline the early development process for these novel therapies.
