RadioMonster.FM Features Schlager Icon Fernando Express

RadioMonster.FM has released a detailed artist profile on the long-standing German Schlager group Fernando Express. Founded in 1969 and originally known as Skippies, the band has maintained its presence in the music landscape for over five decades.

The group's musical journey began in Baden-Württemberg. After renaming themselves Fernando Express in 1982, the trio gained wider recognition with songs like "Montego Bay" and "Dolce Vita." Their significant breakthrough occurred in 1991 when they secured third place at the "Deutscher Song Festival" with the song "Flüsterndes Herz," leading to considerable radio airplay throughout the 1990s.

Fernando Express has seen lineup changes over the years, with founding members Josef Eisenhut and Hans Olbert continuing with Heidi Schütz since 2015. Despite these shifts, the band achieved a notable comeback in 2017 with their "Best of" album, "Das Beste," which entered the Top 10 on the German charts.

More recent releases have also met with success. The 2022 album "Komm, wir feiern das Leben" reached number 4 on the German charts, and "Der schönste Tanz mit dir," released in September 2023, charted at number 18. Fernando Express's music is accessible through RadioMonster.FM and other online radio platforms offering Schlager music and streaming services.
