Metro Atlanta nonprofit Rainbow Village has broken its previous fundraising record. The Second Chance Golf Classic raised $473,300 to support families experiencing homelessness.

Rainbow Village, a Metro Atlanta nonprofit dedicated to supporting families experiencing homelessness, has set a new fundraising record at its Second Chance Golf Classic. The event, held on September 14 at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, Georgia, raised $473,300, surpassing previous totals.
The tournament saw 204 golfers participate, with proceeds directed towards Rainbow Village's mission of providing help, hope, housing, and healing. These funds will supplement the organization's operational budget, enabling it to continue offering transitional housing and transformational programming designed to help families achieve sustainable self-sufficiency. The organization reports a 95% success rate among program graduates in reaching independence.
"Our title sponsor, Primerica, has been a true changemaker for this fundraiser the last two years," stated Melanie Conner, CEO of Rainbow Village. Conner also acknowledged the support of Legacy Sponsor Northside Hospital, as well as other sponsors, volunteers, and the participating golfers.
The competition took place across three courses at TPC Sugarloaf, with awards also presented for closest to the pin and longest drive. Rainbow Village's next major fundraising event, the We Are Family Tailgate Benefit Gala, is scheduled for October 24.
