Raphe mPhibr Secures $100 Million for Long-Endurance Drone Technology

Noida, India – Indian drone technology firm Raphe mPhibr has secured $100 million in a funding round led by General Catalyst, bringing its total capital raised to $145 million and valuing the company at nearly $900 million. For the past eight years, the company has focused on developing and manufacturing long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for India's armed forces.

The company was founded by brothers Vivek and Vikash Mishra, who were initially researchers in the US. A drone prototype they built during their university break caught the attention of Indian government agencies, leading to the company's incorporation in 2017. Raphe mPhibr designs and manufactures UAV systems for surveillance, logistics, and other defense applications. Their portfolio includes lightweight surveillance drones, high-altitude logistics platforms, and maritime systems, and they are developing long-endurance aircraft capable of staying airborne for over 26 hours and traveling more than 2,000 km.

Raphe's technology was deployed during Operation Sindoor in May 2025, highlighting its role as unmanned systems increasingly feature in military operations. The company's growth aligns with India's push to reduce its reliance on imported defense equipment and foster domestic military technology development.

According to the founders, the company's origins are deeply rooted in technological development. They have heavily invested in research and engineering talent, hiring and internally training young engineers for demanding defense applications. This long-term commitment to R&D has positioned Raphe mPhibr as a key player in India's defense technology market.
