Rawlings announces 2026 Gold Glove Award winners

Rawlings Sporting Goods announced the 2026 Gold Glove Award winners on November 1, honoring the top defensive players in both the American and National Leagues. The selection process involved voting from managers and coaches across the league, complemented by the SABR Defensive Index (SDI), which accounts for approximately 25 percent of the final selection.

This year's roster of winners includes nine first-time honorees alongside 11 repeat recipients. The Boston Red Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks emerged as the most successful organizations this season, each securing three awards. Christian Walker and Matt Olson led individual achievements, both claiming their fourth career Gold Glove honors.

While managers and coaches provide the majority of the input for position-specific awards, the utility player honors were determined through a specialized statistical formula developed in partnership with SABR. The company now shifts its focus to the Platinum Glove Award, with public voting open through November 5 and a final ceremony scheduled for November 6 in New York City.
