Richmond, Virginia – The Richmond Jazz and Music Festival (RJMF) has confirmed platinum-selling R&B artist Lloyd will perform at its 2026 event. The festival, set for August 8-9 at Maymont Park, aims to solidify its standing as a prominent music event in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Lloyd, known for hits like "You" and "Get It Shawty," is slated to headline Saturday's performances. Neo-soul icon Erykah Badu is returning to headline Sunday's program. The lineup also features Samara Joy, Johnny Gill, Lupe Fiasco, and Leon Thomas, among others.
Organizers have announced enhancements to the festival experience, including new fan activations and improved hospitality services. The grounds have been reconfigured for easier navigation between stages, and the schedule is designed to avoid overlapping performances.
In the week leading up to the festival, a series of straight-ahead jazz performances, titled "Straight No Chaser," will be held at various Richmond venues. The festival is produced by JMI with Dominion Energy as a lead sponsor.
