RD Technologies expands cross-border payment infrastructure between Asia and Africa
RD Technologies is upgrading its digital finance ecosystem to facilitate trade payments using stablecoin technology and new banking partnerships.
Hong Kong-based RD Technologies has announced an upgrade to its enterprise cross-border payment ecosystem. The initiative focuses on enhancing payment connectivity and digital settlement infrastructure to support trade operations between Asian and African markets.
As part of this expansion, RD Technologies is partnering with Stanbic Bank Ghana and local infrastructure provider Transika. These collaborations aim to explore bank-led settlement models for business-to-business transactions using stablecoins. Any potential pilot programs remain subject to regulatory approval and compliance assessments.
The firm is also rolling out RDUSD, a US dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by the federally regulated Anchorage Digital Bank. The instrument is designed to provide a compliant digital settlement option for global treasury and cross-border payment operations.
In tandem with the product launch, RD Technologies is working with HashKey On-Chain to deploy RDUSD on the HSK Chain. This partnership seeks to integrate stablecoins into institutional financial applications, specifically targeting cross-border trade and the tokenization of real-world assets.
