Ready Rebound Launches Software for Tracking First Responder Injury Costs
Ready Rebound has launched Return, new software that helps municipalities track the true costs of first responder injuries, including overtime and backfill expenses.

Ready Rebound has announced the release of Return, a new workers' compensation claims analytics software designed for municipalities and fire and police departments.
The Return software automatically benchmarks open claims against medical recovery targets, flagging those falling behind and identifying potential process delays. This provides municipal leaders with a clearer understanding of total injury-related costs and allows them to focus attention on cases requiring action.
Workplace injuries and illnesses remain a significant issue, with over 3.1 million cases reported across various industries and government sectors in the U.S. in 2024. Workers' compensation represents a material employer expense, often including costs like overtime and temporary staffing that are not always fully accounted for in traditional reporting.
David Reeves, CEO of Ready Rebound, stated that Return closes this gap by combining a department's claims data with medical recovery benchmarks. This offers a complete view of what each injury costs, encompassing medical expenses, indemnity, and overtime.
