realme Neo8 Sanxingdui Special Edition Not to Be Released

Chinese technology firm realme has confirmed that a planned Sanxingdui culture-themed special edition of its Neo8 smartphone will not be launched. The company has also withdrawn from the market.

A prototype of the device, featuring a predominantly green, semi-transparent back panel with gold circuit-like patterns, has surfaced. The special edition was originally slated for release in February alongside the standard realme Neo8 launch event.

However, on the same afternoon as its announcement, the company stated that the product's release would be postponed. The reason cited was strict craftsmanship requirements and that stock preparation had not met expected progress. The cancellation of the release was confirmed as the company exited the market.

The Sanxingdui collaboration aimed to celebrate the ancient Shu culture, with the gift box design intended to feature green patterns reminiscent of Sanxingdui bronze artifacts. The non-release of the special edition means this planned collaboration will not reach consumers.
