Red Robin delays third quarter results following franchise restructuring
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers has rescheduled its third-quarter earnings release to November 18, 2026, citing the complexity of recent refranchising and debt refinancing deals.

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. confirmed it will delay the release of its third-quarter fiscal 2026 financial results, originally scheduled for November 4, 2026, to November 18, 2026. The company intends to file a notice of late filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, anticipating that the necessary documents will be submitted within the five-day extension window permitted under regulatory rules.
The postponement follows a series of significant financial shifts during the quarter, including the sale of 108 company-owned locations to franchise operators. These transactions generated approximately $89.4 million in cash, which the company utilized to pay down debt and complete a $115 million refinancing of its secured credit facility. Red Robin attributed the delay to the accounting complexity involved in these structural changes.
Despite the reporting adjustment, the company reported a 3.9% increase in comparable restaurant revenue for the 12-week period ending October 4. CEO Dave Pace noted that the firm’s “First Choice” plan remains on track, aiming to stabilize the business through a more franchised ownership model. The company stated that the delay is not related to any material changes in its underlying operating performance.
