Reddit to Further Restrict Access to Old.Reddit.com

Reddit has announced further upcoming restrictions on its legacy website, Old.Reddit.com. In the coming months, access to the older interface will be limited to users who have logged in and used the site within the past six months.

This policy update follows July's change, which initially required users to be logged in to access Old Reddit. The company states that these measures are intended to reduce Reddit's primary sources of scraping and automated traffic.

A company employee, known on the platform as "judy-funnie," indicated in a post that the majority of active Old Reddit users will not be significantly impacted. It is expected that most current users of the older site already meet the new login frequency requirement.
