RedMagic Launches 12 Pro+ Flagship Gaming Phone

RedMagic has released its new 12 Pro+ flagship gaming phone, offering configurations up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. A special collector's edition was also announced.

15 October 2026

Chinese technology firm RedMagic has unveiled its latest flagship gaming smartphone, the RedMagic 12 Pro+. The device is available in three transparent color options: 'Deuterium Blade Transparent Night', 'Deuterium Blade Transparent Silver Wing', and 'Deuterium Blade Transparent Ice Blue'. The phone starts at 6,499 yuan in China, after government subsidies.

A "ONE MORE THING" addition to the launch was the RedMagic 12 Pro+ GOLDEN SAGA Collector's Edition. This limited edition model will feature the company's forged carbon cooling technology and a substantial specification of 24GB of RAM paired with 1TB of internal storage. Such high memory and storage configurations are becoming increasingly rare in the smartphone market.

The trend towards higher memory and storage is diminishing as many manufacturers adjust their primary configurations to 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage. Data indicates that smartphone memory component prices increased by over 80% quarter-on-quarter in the second quarter of 2026. This surge has impacted the Bill of Materials (BOM) costs across all smartphone segments.

This rise in component costs, particularly for memory, has led to adjustments in product lines and pricing. For flagship devices, DRAM has surpassed the SoC as the most expensive single component. Consequently, entry-level retail prices for new flagship models have begun to increase.
