Redmi K100 Pro Series Initial Sales Reach 65% of Previous Generation
Xiaomi's new Redmi K100 Pro smartphone series has reported initial sales figures equivalent to approximately 65% of the previous generation's performance during their first day on the market.

Xiaomi has released initial sales data for its latest Redmi K100 Pro smartphone series, revealing performance metrics for the crucial first day of sales. According to an analysis by a digital market observer, the combined sales for the Redmi K100 Pro and Pro Max models reached about 65% of the volume achieved by the previous Redmi K90 series during its comparable launch period.
The analysis, shared by the observer, indicates that the standard Redmi K100 Pro model sold approximately 50% compared to its predecessor, the Redmi K90. The higher-end Redmi K100 Pro Max model performed better relative to its predecessor, achieving 85% of the Redmi K90 Pro Max's sales figures in the same timeframe. The sales data reportedly covers the evening of the launch and the full following day.
These figures contrast with an earlier statement from Xiaomi executive Lu Weibing, who claimed that the Redmi K100 Pro Max alone achieved 150% of the previous generation's sales on its launch day. The discrepancy may stem from different methodologies or reporting periods used by the company and external analysts.
The Redmi K100 Pro series was officially launched on August 11th. The devices feature new Snapdragon processors and large battery capacities, ranging from 8580mAh to 9070mAh, along with Bose co-tuned audio. Prices for the series start at 3199 yuan.
