Relativity names Chris Brown as President to advance AI platform
Relativity, a legal data intelligence company, has appointed Chris Brown as its new president. Brown's promotion is aimed at accelerating the development of the company's AI platform.

Relativity, a company focused on legal data intelligence, announced on July 7 the appointment of Chris Brown as its new president, effective July 13. Brown, who joined Relativity as Chief Product Officer in 2018, will lead efforts to further advance the company's artificial intelligence platform for legal data and expand its applications within the legal sector.
"Chris brings the agility and grit to meet this moment of AI transformation," said Phil Saunders, CEO of Relativity. "We believe Chris is the right leader to elevate Relativity's system of action and expand its reach into where legal work happens."
Brown brings over 25 years of experience in building and scaling digital platforms. Under his leadership, Relativity has developed an AI platform used by hundreds of thousands of users globally for complex litigation, investigations, and regulatory reviews. As of April 2026, the company managed 93 petabytes of legal data.
In his role as president, Brown will oversee the product organization, marketing, and technology partnerships. Key priorities include finalizing the integration of Gavel, enabling Relativity use directly within Microsoft Word, and expanding integrations with AI assistants like Claude to streamline workflows on the platform.
