Remedy Entertainment Announces Sequel to Control

Remedy Entertainment has officially confirmed the development of a sequel to its critically acclaimed 2019 title, Control. The new game, tentatively titled Control 2, represents a significant milestone for the Finnish game developer as its first major release under a new publishing agreement.

The sequel is being co-developed with 505 Games, a long-time partner of Remedy. Under the agreement, 505 Games will handle the global publishing and marketing of Control 2, while Remedy will oversee its development. The game is described as being comparable in scale and scope to its predecessor.

The original Control was praised for its unique narrative, distinctive art direction, and gravity-defying gameplay mechanics. It immersed players in the mysterious headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) in New York City, where they assumed the role of Jesse Faden battling paranormal threats.

While specific details about Control 2 remain scarce, Remedy has indicated that the game will expand upon the established world and narrative of the first installment. The company stated that development is currently in an active phase.
