RentoMojo IPO yields significant returns for early investors

The Initial Public Offering (IPO) for furniture and appliance rental startup RentoMojo has resulted in considerable returns for its early backers and co-founder, Geetansh Bamania, who pocketed ₹34.31 crore from selling shares. The company is set to debut on the stock market tomorrow.

Early investors also saw significant gains. Accel India, a major shareholder, sold shares generating approximately ₹317 crore, achieving an 8.6X return multiple on its investment. Accel retains a substantial stake in RentoMojo post-IPO.

Other investors, including Madison India, Edelweiss Discovery Fund, and ValueQuest, also realized multiple-times returns on their investments through the offer-for-sale component. Some, like IDG Ventures India Fund III LLC, completed a full exit.

RentoMojo's IPO, valued at ₹1,255.6 crore, comprised a ₹150 crore fresh issue and an offer-for-sale of up to ₹1,105.6 crore. The offering was heavily oversubscribed, attracting bids for 72.88 times the shares on offer, indicating strong investor demand.
