Reply AI Film Festival Announces Ten Finalists for Cinema and AI Competition
Reply AI Film Festival has announced ten finalists for its international competition that merges cinema and artificial intelligence. Winners will be revealed in Venice on September 6.

Reply, a technology company, has unveiled the ten finalist short films for its third annual Reply AI Film Festival. The international competition serves as a platform for creatives experimenting with AI technologies in filmmaking.
The selected works were chosen from over 3,000 submissions from 76 countries. The festival will take place in Venice during the 83rd Venice International Film Festival. The awards ceremony, co-hosted by Reply and Mastercard, is scheduled for Sunday, September 6, at the Match Point Arena on the Lido.
The jury is presided over by Oscar-winning director Gabriele Salvatores and includes notable figures from the film industry and AI field, such as directors Rob Minkoff and Catherine Hardwicke, and VFX supervisor Giacomo Mineo.
In addition to the main award for Best Short Film, two special prizes will be presented: the "AI for Good Award," in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), recognizing films that best interpret the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and the "Reply AI Studios Grand Prix" for projects demonstrating exceptional innovation and excellence in AI utilization.
The finalist films explore the theme "Imaginatio Nova," focusing on how human creativity and technology can converge to create new cinematic languages and visions. Selections were based on creativity, production quality, and the integration of AI throughout the filmmaking process, from scriptwriting to post-production.
