Reply rolls out control plane for enterprise AI agents

Reply, a consultancy specializing in digital transformation, has introduced Microsoft Agent 365, a control plane solution aimed at managing the proliferation of AI agents within organizations. The product enables IT and security teams to track, govern, and secure all AI agents across an enterprise from a single, centralized platform, regardless of their origin.

Microsoft Agent 365 acts as an oversight layer, integrating agents created on various platforms, such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, AWS Bedrock, or Google Cloud, into a unified registry and security framework. It does not execute agent tasks but ensures adherence to enterprise policies and security standards by leveraging existing Microsoft tools like Microsoft Entra and Defender.

Gartner predicts that the average global Fortune 500 enterprise will have over 150,000 agents by 2028, highlighting the need for centralized management. Agent 365 addresses this growing sprawl by providing IT departments with tools to monitor agent ownership, usage, and risks.

The service is structured around three core responsibilities: observe, govern, and secure. Observe brings all agents into a single registry and maps their connections to users and data. Govern allows for policy application on agent creation, usage, and retirement. Secure extends security tools for human users to cover agents, ensuring consistent data protection across the enterprise.
