According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, Apple may launch new MacBook Pro models featuring an OLED touch display and M5 Pro/Max chips as soon as October. The new models could be unveiled with the macOS 27.2 update.
According to Mark Gurman, an insider at Bloomberg News, Apple may launch its new MacBook Pro laptops, equipped with OLED touch displays, as early as October. Reports suggest the devices will be available in 14- and 16-inch configurations.
The new models are expected to be powered by Apple's M5 Pro or M5 Max chips. In addition to the hardware upgrade, Apple might time the launch with the release of the macOS 27.2 operating system, as the company is internally testing the new devices with that beta version.
Beyond the OLED panels, the new MacBook Pro models are anticipated to feature a slimmer chassis and a "Dynamic Island"-style display solution, replacing the previous notch design. These changes represent a significant update to the company's flagship laptop line.
The integration of OLED technology into MacBook Pro models has been the subject of speculation for some time. Samsung has been reported as one of the primary suppliers to Apple for the manufacturing of these new displays, supporting rumors of an imminent release.
