Report: Honor planning new phone with large 7-inch display and Dimensity processor
According to information from Chinese website IT Home, Honor is reportedly preparing a new mid-range smartphone featuring a large 7-inch display and a processor from the MediaTek Dimensity series.
Industry sources suggest Honor is developing a new mid-range smartphone characterized by an exceptionally large 7-inch direct display.
Disclosed details indicate the device will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8-series chipset. Furthermore, the phone is expected to house an oversized battery exceeding 10,000mAh, pointing to extended battery life.
This is not the first indication of Honor exploring larger screen sizes. Previous reports this year have pointed to the company testing multiple large displays, including 6.89-inch and 7-inch OLED panels. A potential model name speculated by some observers is Honor Power 3.
The smartphone market is seeing a trend towards larger displays, with many current flagship devices like the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max offering screens close to 7 inches. This new Honor device is positioned to compete in this segment for users prioritizing screen real estate.
