Report: iPhone 18 Pro Max Battery Capacity May Increase
Rumors suggest Apple's upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max for the Chinese market could feature a 5391 mAh battery, marking a significant increase from its predecessor.

Apple is reportedly planning to increase the battery capacity in its upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max model. Information sourced from China's 3C certification filings suggests the device's battery will be 5391 mAh. This represents a notable increase from the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which had a battery capacity of 4823 mAh.
The Pro Max model is expected to see a 568 mAh boost, translating to approximately an 11.78 percent increase in battery capacity. While this data stems from a battery supplier's certification application, official confirmation from Apple is still pending. The filings also indicate potential variations in battery size across different markets, with the US version of the iPhone 18 Pro Max reportedly having a larger 5567 mAh battery.
According to the digital blogger who shared the information, the standard iPhone 18 Pro model is also slated for a battery size increase over its predecessor, though the increment is more modest. The Pro model's battery is estimated at 4056 mAh, up from the iPhone 17 Pro's 3988 mAh, an increase of only 68 mAh, or about 1.71 percent.
Apple has not yet commented on the battery size rumors. New iPhone models are typically unveiled in the fall, at which point more details about the devices' specifications are expected.
