Report: Remake of Zelda: Ocarina of Time includes AMD FSR 1.0 references

Third-party license documentation suggests the new Zelda title uses AMD’s FSR 1.0 upscaling, with no current evidence of Nvidia DLSS support.

2 November 2026

Software license disclosures for version 1.0.0 of the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake reveal the inclusion of AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.0 (FSR) and SMAA anti-aliasing. Documentation within the title currently omits any mention of Nvidia DLSS.

Industry observers note that while the presence of FSR code is verified, the absence of DLSS in a license file does not definitively confirm a lack of support. Developers are not always required to disclose all proprietary tools in public-facing license documentation, leaving the final rendering feature set open to speculation.

Nintendo has previously utilized the FSR 1.0 and SMAA combination in titles such as Donkey Kong Country. These architectural choices often reflect the underlying hardware targets for the software, particularly when titles are designed with cross-generational compatibility in mind.
