Resonant Link Medical Launches New Wireless Power Platform for Implantable Devices
Resonant Link Medical has released Vivigo™ 2.0, a next-generation wireless power platform designed to provide rapid wireless power and data transfer for implantable medical devices.
Burlington, Vermont – Resonant Link Medical has launched Vivigo™ 2.0, its next-generation wireless power platform for implantable medical devices. The new platform builds upon the company's established Aurion WPT™ technology and aims to accelerate the development of new, life-changing therapies by reducing integration risk.
Vivigo™ 2.0 enables rapid wireless energy transfer over an extended range. It supports both rechargeable implants, capable of charging in as little as 20 minutes, and battery-free devices requiring uninterrupted wireless power. The technology is designed to facilitate smaller, smarter, and longer-lasting implantable devices.
Historically, implantable devices were often designed around non-rechargeable batteries due to the complexity and risk associated with developing reliable and patient-friendly wireless power systems. However, modern implantable devices require significantly more power for continuous sensing, artificial intelligence, and closed-loop algorithms.
"Implantable devices are becoming dramatically more intelligent, but they can't become more intelligent without fundamentally rethinking how they're powered," said Omari Bouknight, CEO of Resonant Link Medical. "Vivigo™ provides medical device developers with a ready-to-integrate platform, allowing them to focus on what matters most: creating next-generation intelligent medical solutions."
