Reworld and Goodwill Industries NEPA Expand Free Electronic Waste Recycling Program
Reworld and Goodwill Industries of Northeastern Pennsylvania have launched a new partnership offering free electronic waste recycling at multiple Goodwill locations across 11 northeastern Pennsylvania counties.

Reworld, a provider of sustainable waste solutions, has expanded its free electronic waste recycling program in Pennsylvania through a new partnership with Goodwill Industries of Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA). The initiative adds Goodwill locations in over ten participating Pennsylvania counties to Reworld's existing e-waste recycling network.
The program's launch event in Scranton, Pennsylvania, was attended by local dignitaries, including Mayor Paige Cognetti, highlighting the importance of accessible and responsible electronic waste disposal options. This collaboration aims to simplify the process for residents to recycle their electronics and reduce landfill waste.
Through the partnership, Goodwill NEPA's ten stores and three donation centers will serve as drop-off points for a wide range of electronic items, including computers, monitors, and televisions. Reworld will handle the environmentally responsible recycling of any equipment that cannot be resold. The company has previously recycled over 160 million pounds of e-waste.
The collaboration between Reworld and Goodwill NEPA also addresses challenges in electronic waste management, particularly in densely populated areas. The program commits to compliance with Pennsylvania's Covered Device Recycling Act and international e-Stewards standards.
