Reyher Unveils New Barcode Scanner for Order Management
F. REYHER Nchfg. GmbH & Co. KG introduced a new mobile data capture terminal for its REYHER Order Management system at the Hannover Fair 2018.

F. REYHER Nchfg. GmbH & Co. KG, a supplier of fasteners and fixing technology, has launched a new mobile data capture terminal (MDE) designed to enhance its REYHER Order Management (ROM) system. The device, which runs on an Android operating system and features a 5-inch high-resolution display, was first showcased at the Hannover Fair 2018.
The handheld scanner aims to improve the efficiency and comfort of C-part order management. It allows users to ergonomically capture orders with any number of items. The Android interface, with its clear display and large buttons, is designed for intuitive operation, reportedly accommodating users wearing work gloves or with wet hands.
Scanned items are listed clearly on the device's screen. Order submission to the REYHER server is facilitated via mobile data transmission, requiring authorization through a password query. The system can also generate an order number for tracking.
Built on the industrial-grade Honeywell ScanPal EDA50 hardware, the terminal includes features like a virtual scan button on the screen or a physical button on the device. It supports both left- and right-handed use and is equipped with robust features such as Corning Gorilla Glass, an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, and an operational temperature range of -10 to +50 °C. Battery life is approximately 12 hours.
