Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung Updates Terms for Digital Products

Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung GmbH, a German regional publisher, has updated its general terms and conditions for the sale of its digital products. The revised terms outline the usage rights for customers accessing the newspaper's e-paper and online content.

The new conditions stipulate that customers' own general terms and conditions will not apply to purchases of Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung's digital offerings, even if the publisher does not explicitly object to them. The e-paper, an electronic replica of the print edition, and the newspaper's online articles are available through subscription or individual purchase.

The e-paper is published on weekdays, typically six days a week, adhering to public holiday regulations in the state of Baden-Württemberg. Subscribers to the e-paper can access content on up to three devices and have access to the last 30 days of issues. For single purchases, access is limited to the specific issue bought, and duplication or distribution to third parties is prohibited.

For online content, which includes individual articles and day passes, subscribers receive online access. Similar to the e-paper, the use of online content is restricted to personal, private use, with commercial distribution forbidden. Internet access and associated connection costs are not included in the subscription fees.

The terms also clarify the sale of device bundles, which may include a mobile device. Ownership of such devices transfers to the customer only after all agreed-upon payments are completed. Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung reserves the right not to accept orders.
