Rheinmetall builds new high-bay warehouse in Neuenstadt
Rheinmetall's subsidiary MS Motorservice International is constructing a new automated high-bay warehouse at its Neuenstadt plant to optimize material flow.

MS Motorservice International, a subsidiary of technology company Rheinmetall, is constructing a new, highly modern high-bay warehouse for the automated storage of Euro-pallets at its plant in Neuenstadt. The facility is designed to store between 300 and 400 pallets per day, operating six days a week.
The investment aims to optimize the material flow within the company's logistics operations. The four-aisle high-bay storage area will operate in three shifts and will be connected to incoming goods, outgoing shipments, and an existing narrow-aisle warehouse via an extensive conveying system and six remotely controlled transport systems (FTS). A bridge will facilitate the transport of pallets between the new high-bay storage and the existing building.
The entire material flow will be managed by the modular Kardex Control Center warehouse management system. Each pallet will be labeled with an identification number before entering the high-bay storage, allowing for centralized planning and organization of warehouse operations. The facility is scheduled to begin operations in the first quarter of 2025. The project is a collaboration between Kardex Mlog and project partner Safelog.
