Team Boxer UK, a joint venture between Rheinmetall and KNDS, has reached a significant program milestone with the delivery of the 100th Boxer Mechanised Infantry Vehicle (MIV) to the UK Ministry of Defence. This achievement demonstrates the mobilization of sovereign manufacturing capability within the UK and marks continued momentum for a key British Army land defence program.
The Boxer vehicles, manufactured in the UK at facilities in Telford and Stockport, are designed to provide the British Army with a highly protected and adaptable platform. This vehicle is set to become a central component of the Army’s future fighting capability. The completion of the 100th vehicle highlights the successful establishment of two UK production lines and the growth of a nationwide supply chain.
The program is delivered through a collaboration involving Rheinmetall, KNDS, the British Army, OCCAR, and the ARTEC consortium, alongside a network of UK supply chain partners. This partnership combines international expertise with British industrial capacity, strengthening the UK's sovereign industrial base in the defence sector.
The manufacturing process supports hundreds of engineers, technicians, and supply chain partners across the United Kingdom. Beyond enhancing defence readiness, the Boxer program fosters the development of critical skills, drives investment in advanced manufacturing, and contributes to regional economic growth. The vehicles are expected to significantly enhance the British Army's mobility, protection, and operational flexibility across various missions.
