Rheinmetall Presents Lynx KF41 Recce Reconnaissance Vehicle
Rheinmetall is unveiling the Lynx KF41 Recce armored reconnaissance vehicle at Eurosatory, designed for modern battlefields. The vehicle integrates reconnaissance, target acquisition, and drone defense capabilities.

German defense contractor Rheinmetall has introduced the Lynx KF41 Recce, an armored reconnaissance vehicle based on its versatile Lynx KF41 combat platform. The new variant is designed for modern, dynamic battlefields, combining intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR) functions with command support and protection.
A key feature is the integrated Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) kit. Utilizing advanced sensors, the system can detect drones early and counter them effectively with the vehicle's 30mm MK30-2/ABM autocannon, which is capable of firing airburst munitions. The C-UAS integration is designed to be user-friendly and compatible with the LANCE turret architecture, allowing for retrofitting on other platforms.
The Lynx KF41 Recce is equipped with a two-man LANCE turret and the StrikeShield active protection system. It features a telescopic sensor mast with high-performance reconnaissance sensors to extend observation ranges and facilitate target identification under challenging conditions. Rheinmetall states the vehicle is intended to enhance information superiority and support the digitalized command of land operations.
According to the company, the Lynx combat vehicle family has seen increasing international adoption, with orders from countries including Hungary, Romania, Italy, and Ukraine. Rheinmetall emphasizes its strategy of involving local industry in the production of the Lynx vehicles.
