Rheinmetall secures multi-million euro order for 155mm artillery ammunition
Rheinmetall has secured a low three-digit million-euro order to supply 155mm artillery ammunition to an international customer. Production is underway with deliveries scheduled to complete by 2027.

German technology group Rheinmetall announced it has received a contract valued in the low three-digit millions of euros for 155mm artillery ammunition from an unnamed international client.
The order includes a low five-figure quantity of artillery projectiles. Production has commenced, with deliveries expected to be completed by the end of 2027. The contract was booked in the third quarter of 2026.
Rheinmetall stated the projectiles are already in service with several NATO countries and are compatible with a wide range of 155mm artillery systems. The company has significantly increased its production capacity for large-calibre ammunition since 2022 in response to rising global demand.
This latest order supports Rheinmetall's ongoing investments in expanding its ammunition manufacturing capabilities. The company is enhancing existing facilities and developing new production sites, with a target to reach an annual output of approximately 1.5 million 155mm artillery shells by 2030.
