Rheinmetall showcases teleoperation and robotics at Hannover Messe
Rheinmetall is presenting its technological advancements at the Hannover Messe trade fair from April 20-24, 2026. The company will demonstrate solutions for teleoperated driving and robotics.

Rheinmetall is participating in the Hannover Messe trade fair, showcasing its innovations in teleoperated driving and robotics. The fair, themed "Industrial Transformation," will feature displays on how these technologies integrate into new data ecosystems.
During the event, from April 20-24, 2026, Rheinmetall will demonstrate solutions aimed at enhancing safety and flexibility in situations where automated systems face limitations. The company's subsidiaries, Rheinmetall Technology Center and Yardstick Robotics, will highlight key developments.
At the "Industry 4.0" joint stand (Hall 13, Stand C24), visitors can experience a live teleoperation setup. This includes remote operation of a vehicle from Düsseldorf to the Hannover exhibition grounds, as well as a logistics vehicle on-site. The "YARO Cobot," a robust collaborative robot designed for harsh, unstructured outdoor environments, will also be featured.
The teleoperation solutions, developed by Rheinmetall Technology Center and MIRA GmbH, are intended for applications in logistics, public transport, and specialized fields. They aim to complement automation by providing human intervention in critical moments. The "POQUASIA" project, focused on a scalable IoT platform, supports these capabilities.
YardStick Robotics specializes in AI-driven robotic solutions for challenging, unpredictable environments, targeting "dull, dirty & dangerous" tasks. Through the RoX project, the company demonstrates how AI-based workpiece inspection and machine learning algorithms can simplify robot programming, making advanced robotics more accessible to non-experts.
