Richard Krings has been appointed as a new full-time member of the Regional Board for Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe in the Niederrhein region. He assumes his new role effective immediately.

Richard Krings has been appointed as a new full-time member of the Regional Board for Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe (JUH) in the Niederrhein region, North Rhine-Westphalia. The 44-year-old began his duties earlier this month.
In his new capacity, Krings will lead the Niederrhein regional association, which comprises approximately 500 employees and 250 volunteers. He will serve alongside two voluntary board members, Wilm Scharlemann and Ulrich Kuster. "It is both a pleasure and an honor to take on this responsible and challenging role with the Johanniter in my home region," Krings stated.
Krings has a long history with Johanniter, having started in 2001 as a training emergency medical technician. He has held various leadership positions, including managing the service center in Krefeld from 2009 to 2016. Most recently, he served as a quality management officer and organizational developer for the JUH state association in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The organization expressed gratitude to Joachim Kürsten, the previous full-time regional board member, for his long-standing commitment. Kürsten served in various roles, both voluntary and full-time, since 2009. He will continue to contribute to Johanniter in a voluntary capacity at the state association level.
