Ricoh Develops GR IVx Camera With New 40mm Lens
Ricoh Imaging has announced it is developing the RICOH GR IVx digital compact camera, which will feature a newly developed lens with a 40mm equivalent focal length.
Ricoh Imaging has announced the development of the RICOH GR IVx, the latest addition to its GR series of high-end digital compact cameras. The camera will be equipped with a newly designed lens offering a focal length equivalent to 40mm in 35mm format. This provides a field of view closer to natural human vision, diverging from the 28mm wide-angle lens found on previous GR models.
The 40mm equivalent focal length is intended to open up new photographic possibilities, offering a distinct perspective compared to the series' established wider options. Ricoh's GR line is recognized for its premium build quality and image performance in a compact form factor.
The RICOH GR IVx is scheduled for release in the winter of 2026 or later. Further specifications and pricing details have not yet been disclosed by the company.
