Rigaku Corporation has announced the launch of its next-generation CT Lab HR160 system, a high-resolution X-ray computed tomography (CT) device designed for analyzing batteries, semiconductor devices, electronic components, and advanced materials. The system was developed in collaboration with Excillum, a company specializing in X-ray innovation.
The CT Lab HR160 integrates Rigaku's expertise in X-ray CT imaging with Excillum's NanoTube N3 X-ray source. This advanced source enables detailed internal structural analysis at a micro-level.
Operating at voltages up to 160 kV, the CT Lab HR160 is capable of handling a wide range of materials. The technology aims to provide enhanced precision and faster analysis times for researchers and manufacturers.
Rigaku Corporation stated that the new system is expected to improve analytical accuracy and efficiency, which are critical factors in rapidly evolving industries such as battery technology and semiconductor manufacturing, where precise material characterization is essential.
