Rillion introduces AI-native automated invoice processing
Stockholm-based Rillion has launched an AI-driven invoice interpretation tool designed to replace template-based OCR systems.
Rillion has released Rillion Capture, an invoice processing platform that utilizes large language models (LLMs) to interpret financial documents. The system is designed to eliminate the reliance on traditional optical character recognition (OCR) templates and manual configurations that have long characterized automated accounting workflows.
By employing multimodal AI, the platform is intended to interpret invoices contextually. This allows the system to extract line-level data and adapt to new formats immediately upon implementation without requiring a learning period. The tool also performs real-time validation against internal master data, providing alerts for discrepancies to simplify the verification process for finance teams.
CEO Daniel de Sousa stated that the platform aims to remove friction by focusing on document comprehension rather than just data extraction. Rillion Capture will be available to new customers in the second quarter of 2026, with a rollout to existing clients scheduled to take place throughout the remainder of the year.
