Rillion Introduces AI-Native Invoice Capture Without Templates
Rillion has launched Rillion Capture, an AI-native solution for accounts payable automation designed to eliminate the need for OCR templates and manual configuration.

Stockholm, Sweden โ March 25, 2026 โ Rillion, a company specializing in AI-powered accounts payable (AP) automation, has introduced Rillion Capture. This new system aims to automate invoice data extraction without requiring traditional Optical Character Recognition (OCR) templates or manual setup.
The software utilizes a multimodal large language model (LLM) that can reportedly understand invoice context, a departure from older methods relying on fixed layouts and rule-based extraction. Rillion states this approach allows for immediate high accuracy in data extraction and validation from the first invoice, eliminating the need for supplier-specific configurations or extended training periods.
According to Rillion, traditional invoice capture systems often require ongoing maintenance and struggle with varying invoice formats, hindering scalability. Rillion Capture is designed to extract both header and line-level data, adapt to new suppliers automatically, and validate data in real time against master records. The captured data is presented in an interface that highlights exceptions for finance teams.
Daniel de Sousa, CEO of Rillion, stated that the company designed the solution to remove friction in the invoice capture process. Rillion Capture is embedded within the company's existing AP workflow, aiming to provide both automation and control without the trade-offs often seen in other solutions. The company reports that the solution will be available to new customers in the second quarter of 2026, with a rollout to existing clients throughout the year.
