Ring Upgrades Peephole Doorbell Camera to 2K Resolution
Ring has released a new version of its smart doorbell camera, designed to replace a door's peephole without drilling or wires. The Peephole Cam 2K offers 2K video recording and improved tracking features at a reduced price.
Ring has introduced an upgraded version of its smart doorbell camera, the Peephole Cam 2K. This new model is designed to replace existing door peepholes easily, eliminating the need for drilling or wiring. The camera now records video in 2K resolution, an improvement from the previous 1080p.
The device also features a sleeker design and enhanced tracking capabilities. This new iteration replaces the original Door View Cam, which was launched in 2019.
Peephole Cam 2K is priced at $99.99, making it a more affordable option compared to its predecessor. Preorders are currently open, with shipping expected to begin later this month.
Similar to previous models, the Peephole Cam 2K consists of two parts that connect through the door's peephole. The exterior component houses the camera, while the interior part contains the battery and other necessary electronics.
