Ritex launches lubricant for couples wishing to conceive
Ritex GmbH has introduced a new lubricant designed to support couples experiencing difficulty conceiving. The medical device, developed over three years, aims to preserve sperm motility and is manufactured in Germany.

Ritex GmbH has expanded its product line to include a lubricant specifically for couples trying to conceive. The product, named Ritex Kinderwunsch Gleitmittel, is designed to address issues of vaginal dryness and the potential harm conventional lubricants can inflict on sperm.
Company CEO Robert Richter stated that the expansion into fertility products was driven by numerous customer inquiries. Previously focused on infection prevention and contraception, Ritex aims to become a comprehensive provider in family planning. Richter noted that the stress associated with difficulty in conceiving can exacerbate vaginal dryness, potentially leading to micro-tears and subsequent infections.
Many existing intimate lubricants can impair sperm function, partly due to their pH levels being optimized for non-fertile days. Other common lubricants or substances like petroleum jelly, baby oils, and saliva can also negatively affect sperm. Ritex's new lubricant is formulated to maintain the vaginal pH and other crucial parameters during a woman's fertile window to support sperm movement.
Developed over nearly three years, the Ritex Kinderwunsch Gleitmittel is a medical device manufactured in Germany and is patent-pending. It was tested at the Centrum für Reproduktionsmedizin und Andrologie at the University Hospital Münster. The product includes eight 4ml applicators in a hygienic, resealable pouch.
