Rittal AX IT Nano Data Center Protects in Industrial Environments

The integration of IT technology into industrial settings, driven by data-driven manufacturing, continues to expand. This trend necessitates placing data centers closer to production lines. Rittal has now adapted its robust AX compact enclosures for IT equipment, providing protection for sensitive systems like servers and switches in harsh industrial environments.

The new AX IT Nano Data Center solution allows for vertical server mounting to save space. The enclosure meets strict industry standards such as IP56, ensuring protection against dust and moisture. Despite its compact design, a 19-inch mounting swing frame facilitates server installation and access.

Traditional data centers are often located in secure rooms, but placing them directly in production environments presents challenges like heat, dust, and humidity. To address this, Rittal has enhanced its AX compact enclosure. Standard equipment includes a pre-assembled fan-and-filter unit on the door to maintain an optimal environment for the IT equipment.

For higher heat loads, additional cooling units can be integrated as needed. Two lockable AX security locks provide maximum protection against unauthorized access. The Rittal AX IT Nano Data Center is available from stock in two sizes, as wall-mounted and floor-standing units.
