Rittal Expands Enclosure Cooling Solutions With New Blue e+ S Units
Rittal North America has introduced the new Blue e+ S series of smart cooling units for industrial and IT enclosures. The units offer lower output capacities and are designed for energy efficiency and reduced carbon footprint.
Rittal North America has expanded its range of cooling solutions for industrial and IT enclosures with the introduction of the new Blue e+ S series. The series includes lower output categories of cooling units, with capacities of 0.3 kW, 0.5 kW, and 1 kW.
The new Blue e+ S units are designed for energy efficiency, offering a smaller footprint, energy savings, and reduced carbon emissions. The solutions are intended for integration into digitalized manufacturing environments and incorporate intelligent capabilities.
Energy savings are achieved through a combination of heat pipe technology and inverter-controlled components. The heat pipe operates without a compressor, or only when needed, minimizing electrical energy consumption. Additionally, the units utilize R-513A refrigerant, which has a 56% lower Global Warming Potential compared to previously used refrigerants.
Smart functions and an integrated IoT interface enable monitoring and predictive maintenance of the units through Rittal's Smart Service Portal. This aims to reduce unplanned downtime and enhance efficiency in industrial automation processes. The cooling units also feature NFC interfaces for communication with mobile devices.
