Rittal introduces faster automated wire processing machine
Rittal has launched the Wire Terminal WT C5 and C10, machines that process wires up to ten times faster than manual work. The systems are modular and expandable to meet growing needs.
Manufacturer Rittal has introduced its new automated machines, the Wire Terminal WT C5 and C10, designed to significantly speed up wire processing. The company states the machines can handle wiring up to ten times faster than traditional manual methods, offering a solution for quicker assembly and cost savings without compromising quality.
The new machines feature a modular system design, allowing for customization and expansion in both hardware and software as user requirements evolve. This structure supports long-term automation strategies. The machines integrate the entire process chain from electrical design to production, providing functionalities for marking, sorting, and transport, among others.
The WT C5 model serves as an entry-level solution, processing wires with cross-sections from 0.5 to 2.5 mm². It cuts, prints, and crimps wire ends. The WT C10 model offers more feeding options and supports wires up to 6 mm² in cross-section. The functionality of both models can be further expanded.
Rittal estimates the payback period for the new machines to be approximately 2.5 years when processing 300 enclosures annually. The machines are operated via a 24-inch touchscreen and feature a quick-change system for wire feeding. They are built for reliability and quality, supporting a digitized process chain in conjunction with Eplan engineering software.
