Rittal introduces new workstation for wiring tasks

Rittal has introduced the Wire Station 540, a new workstation designed to enhance the efficiency of wiring and cable assembly processes, particularly in the panel building and switchgear manufacturing sectors.

Component wiring remains one of the most labor-intensive steps in the industry. Even with automated wire assembly, manual installation of wires into enclosures or onto mounting plates is often still required. The Wire Station 540 offers an ergonomic and adaptable solution for these activities.

The workstation features a height-adjustable workbench for flexible adaptation to user size and specific tasks. Optional accessories include dimmable LED lighting, power outlets, and a monitor bracket. Its modular design allows for easy integration of tools and semi-automatic devices, such as cutting and stripping units. Holders for wire magazines from Rittal's Wire Terminal can be attached, and a monitor mount enables the use of EPLAN Smart Wiring software.

Equipped with castors, the Wire Station 540 is mobile within the workshop. This allows for keeping assembled wires, tools, and materials within easy reach, reducing time spent moving between the enclosure and the workbench. Rittal positions the new station as an optimal interface between automated wire assembly and manual work.
