Rittal Introduces RiLineX System for Power Distribution
Rittal has launched its RiLineX power distribution system, designed to accelerate assembly and enhance safety compared to traditional wiring methods.
German enclosure specialist Rittal is introducing its RiLineX power distribution system, engineered to streamline and accelerate the prefabrication process for electrical cabinets. The company claims the system reduces assembly time by up to 75% and improves reliability over conventional wiring.
The RiLineX system utilizes a 60 mm modular busbar platform, allowing components to be connected via a simple click mechanism, eliminating the need for tools or screws. This approach is intended to reduce errors and speed up project completion. Design work within Eplan software, for instance, is reported to be up to 30% faster.
Safety is a key feature, with the system offering IP2XB touch protection and upgradability to IP3X. It is rated for short-circuit currents up to 65 kA and permits component installation while the system is energized. RiLineX supports both AC (up to 1000 V) and DC (up to 1500 V) applications, making it suitable for sectors including photovoltaic, IT, and energy storage. Global IEC and UL certifications ensure its suitability for international projects. Rittal recently conducted a Roadshow 2025 tour across Poland to demonstrate the system's capabilities. The tour engaged with hundreds of industry professionals, addressing common inquiries regarding installation, DC usage, Eplan integration, backward compatibility with RiLine60, and compliance with standards. Rittal positions RiLineX as a shift in prefabrication methodology, offering a faster, safer, and simpler solution for power distribution needs.
