Rittal launches automated wire processing system for control manufacturing
Rittal has introduced the Wire Terminal WT C, an automated machine designed to streamline wire preparation, crimping, and labeling for industrial enclosure assembly.
Rittal's Wire Terminal WT C aims to address the significant time expenditure associated with manual wiring in control cabinet manufacturing, which typically accounts for half of the assembly time. The system automates the processing of wires from bulk, including cutting, stripping, labeling, and crimping.
Available in two variants, the WT C5 and WT C10, the machine features a modular design with up to ten vibratory bowl feeders. It utilizes servomotor technology for crimping and an RFID-secured feeding system to facilitate rapid changeovers between different wire types. Users can choose from three output methods: ejection, rail system, or chain bundling.
The system is designed for digital integration, linking directly with Eplan software to manage production workflows. Rittal claims the machine reaches a payback threshold within 2.5 years for manufacturers producing 300 enclosures annually.
