Rittal Presents Standardized Infrastructure for AI Data Centers at OCP EMEA Summit

Rittal is presenting a new integrated infrastructure solution for data centers at the OCP EMEA Summit 2026 in Barcelona, taking place April 29–30. The solution aims to address the escalating demands of artificial intelligence (AI) applications and high-performance computing (HPC), which require increased processing power, higher power densities, and new cooling and power supply architectures.

The core of the solution is a modular system that consolidates computing power, cooling, and power supply into a standardized unit. This system enables over one megawatt of power within a compact footprint, utilizing Rittal's cooling distribution unit (CDU) and DG Matrix's Solid State Transformer (SST) technology, among other innovations. It is specifically designed for OCP architectures, including Mount Diablo and NVIDIA's 800 VDC specifications.

The rapid proliferation of AI is significantly increasing the demand for high-performance data center infrastructure. Traditional approaches are reaching their physical limits when faced with the requirements of new, ultra-dense applications. Rittal is actively contributing to the Open Compute Project (OCP), which focuses on creating open, scalable standards for future data center infrastructure.

Thomas Schreiner, Head of Business Development Hyperscale at Rittal, highlighted the system's significance for the digital future. "Such systems are modern essential utility units for the digital future – compactly built, designed for high data rates, and indispensable for the growing importance of AI in business and society," Schreiner stated. Rittal is also displaying other innovations at the event, including an MGX™ rack developed in collaboration with NVIDIA and new cooling solutions.
