Rittal to Showcase Wire Processing Automation at EWPTE 2026 in Milwaukee
Rittal announced its participation in the Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo (EWPTE) 2026, held May 5–7 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The company will demonstrate its automation systems for wire harness and cable processing.
Rittal has confirmed its participation in the Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo (EWPTE) 2026, scheduled for May 5–7 at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The company plans to exhibit its Rittal Automation Systems (RAS) machines, emphasizing the integration of automation and digital engineering in wire processing operations.
The exhibition will feature live demonstrations of Rittal's automated solutions, including the RAS Wire Terminal Machine. This system is designed for precise cutting, stripping, crimping, and ferruling of wires, aiming to reduce manual labor and enhance repeatability in the production of control panels and wire harnesses. Visitors can also see the RAS Wire Station WS 540, an ergonomic workstation intended to support efficient manual wiring processes.
In addition to its own automation equipment, Rittal will showcase the Brady Wraptor™ wire labeling system. This system offers automated print-and-apply functionality for wire labeling, designed to improve accuracy and reduce processing time in high-mix, low-volume production environments.
A key focus at the Rittal booth will be the integration of digital engineering data with automated manufacturing processes. Representatives from Eplan will be present to demonstrate how design data from software like Eplan Cable proD and Harness proD can directly drive the RAS Wire Terminal Machine and Brady Wraptor systems. This data-driven workflow aims to reduce errors, rework, and manual data entry, thereby streamlining production from design to completion.
