Rivian Reports Strong Sales Growth, R2 Model Demand Appears Positive
Rivian's third-quarter production and delivery figures show significant year-over-year increases, signaling growing demand potentially driven by its more affordable R2 vehicle.

Electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian reported a substantial increase in production and deliveries for the third quarter of the year, with 19,751 vehicles produced and 19,248 delivered.
These figures represent an 85 percent year-over-year jump in production and a 45 percent rise in deliveries. For a direct-to-consumer automaker like Rivian, deliveries are a key indicator of sales performance. This growth offers a positive trend within the broader automotive industry, which has faced various challenges.
The company also reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance, expecting to deliver between 65,000 and 70,000 vehicles. This forecast suggests confidence in sustained demand, with the upcoming R2 model anticipated to play a crucial role.
Rivian's sales surge provides a notable bright spot in a market experiencing fluctuating demand. The company continues to focus on expanding its production capacity and product offerings.
