Roamate, a travel technology company focused on solo travel infrastructure, has introduced its patent-pending Solo Conversion Layer™. This new B2B2C platform aims to assist hotels, cruise lines, and booking platforms in converting solo travelers who might abandon bookings because of double occupancy pricing or single supplements.

The Solo Conversion Layer provides travel companies with an alternative when the economics of solo travel become a barrier. Instead of discounting inventory or retargeting travelers with the same offers, partners can enable a "Split Cost" option. This allows compatible solo travelers to share the cost of inventory typically priced for two people.

Roamate estimates that the untapped market for solo travel bookings could be as high as $360 billion annually worldwide. The company's solution targets this existing demand that is currently lost due to prohibitive costs for individual travelers.

The company is now opening applications for its pilot program, with initial implementations scheduled for the first quarter of 2027. The platform is designed for integration with existing booking systems via APIs, without requiring a full system replacement.
